Day 90
{Project 365 - Day Ninety}
March 31, 2011
I cannot keep blaming how life seems to want to really kick my rear end this year on my complete and total lack with keeping up with this blog. I had such high hopes for it and I've pretty much let myself down with it.
With that said, I'm back with day 90. A self portrait of sorts - its funny as this pic is me doing what I do best. Shining. And that is what I fully intend on doing from here on out.

I have a lot of pics with Fort Allen in the background...but I couldn't resist this one!

These benches are well loved - and for a good reason - they are the seats to the best view in Portland!

Day Thirty Five and Thirty Six
{Project 365 - Day Thirty Five}
February 4, 2011
Ok so first I'm due to give a huge explanation as to why I've jumped from day 12 to day 35. Let's just say that life really had me by the hair on my head and it seriously refused to even want to let go a little bit!
I moved eighty or so miles away to Westbrook, Maine. Let me tell you this is a very good thing, but it has been quite the adjustment!
Two days after my official first day in Westbrook my dear Father passed away (whom I miss very much by the way). My father was in a Veteran's home in Augusta, ME and was living with terminal cancer and Alzheimer's disease. My Dad was my very best friend. I could talk to him without ever being judged and if I ever needed someone, he was the one person who I knew I could always count on, no matter what the situation was.
Just when I thought I was getting out of my "funk" that my father's death had put me in and BAM!! (Literally!) I was sitting at a red light at the intersection of East Bridge Street and Bridgeton Road taking a sip of my Pepsi and then a man in a Toyota Tacoma flew into my little Dodge Neon at a whopping 25 MPH. Soda up my nose, in my hair, all over myself and my car. I've never been hit so hard in my entire life. For me it was super scary. Four days after my hit, his insurance company admitted fault, put me in a rental and is sending someone over to the auto shop where my car has been sitting since the accident to see what they will pay for damage.
Will life stop being so darn mean to me? I hope so! Soon!
Here is my picture for day 35 - my beautiful son - sporting his headphone sweatshirt and looking like he is ready to take on anyone at a game of Air Hockey!
PS - Happy 10th Birthday to my middle child Cameron! I can't believe you are finally in the "double digits!" I love you more than I could ever say! :)

Today my boys and I decided to take my rental car for a little spin and put-put around a little bit. We ended up at Munjoy Hill and here is one of the pictures I snapped. Made me think of my Dad...

Day Twelve
{Project 365 - Day Twelve}
January 12, 2011
I am going to have my PTSD story published in a magazine and they requested a pic of me. Although I have a few decent pics of myself, I don't have anything super fabulous. I decided to venture out into the blizzard that we had today in an attempt to get some pics that say "yes I live in Maine!"
Here are two of my attempts to do that!

Day Eleven
{Project 365 - Day Eleven}
January 11, 2011
My 9 year old son, Cameron, is obsessed with building things. It doesn't matter what he's building it out of, it could be scraps of things he's collected, magnetic toys, legos, k'nex toys...you name it.
He built this tonight and I just liked the pic...so here is my pic of the day for today. Cameron's neato art.

Day Ten
{Project 365 - Day Ten}
January 10, 2011
Well it's been ten days since January 1st, and I've missed two days of my daily photo, but, if you knew how pretty much insane my life was right now - you'd be wondering how I haven't missed all ten days! :)
This pic was taken on Congress Street (Portland, ME), in front of the former LL Bean location. I had to do a double take as at first I thought it was trash on the side of the road...looking more closely I discovered it wasn't trash at all - it was art - with a nice message for all of us.
"Lay your troubles down." I'll drink to that!
Cheers.

Here's a pic so you are able to see more of the couch detail:
